Founded in 2012 as a 501(c)(3), Sun Valley Film Festival began as an annual celebration of film, television and the people behind the stories.

Over the years, premieres, Coffee Talks, industry conversations, the Screenwriters Lab and festival events helped shape an experience known for bringing filmmakers and audiences together in an unusually intimate setting.

In 2022, that mission expanded beyond festival week with year-round film programming, education and outreach supporting emerging filmmakers and connecting the community with storytelling throughout the year.
